Pine Bluff Truck Driving School's Program
Designed to prepare you for a long career in the trucking industry
Our CDL Program
Our CDL training program is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to begin a career in the trucking industry. Throughout the program, you'll learn essential safety procedures, FMCSA regulations, logbook requirements, vehicle inspections, substance abuse awareness, speed management, and other key topics required for professional drivers.
Classes are held Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The program consists of a minimum of 160 training hours completed over at least four weeks, with students attending a minimum of 19 class days to graduate.
Training begins with classroom instruction during the first four days, preparing students to pass the CDL written exam. From there, students move into hands-on training behind the wheel, learning to shift and operate a tractor-trailer. The following week focuses on backing maneuvers and vehicle control on the practice range before completing the final skills evaluation at the end of training.
For students traveling from outside the area, on-site dorm accommodations are available during training. If you need a place to stay while attending classes, our team can provide additional information about housing options.
Our goal is to ensure every student is fully prepared to successfully complete the CDL skills test and confidently begin their driving career.
